At Giannini Gray Dental Partners, it is our goal to educate, motivate, and promote regular preventive care so our patients can enjoy a lifetime of optimal health. We inform before we perform to ensure that patients are aware of all their options.

Our office is comfortable, modern, and immaculately maintained. It was designed to offer a relaxing, soothing environment for patients and a pleasant workplace for our staff. A large, open waiting area greets patients and connects to our reception and business office area. For your comfort and convenience, all treatment rooms are private, with top-of-the-line reclining dental chaises.

The safety of our patients and staff is of utmost importance at Giannini Gray Dental Partners. Our treatment rooms are designed with state-of-the-art equipment to meet or exceed the highest standards for patient safety. Our staff adheresstrictly to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

In recognition of his career accomplishments and dedication to the profession, Dr. Giannini was inducted into both the prestigious American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. He was awarded the District of Columbia Dental Societys highest honor, the Sterling V. Mead Award, in June 2018 for his service to the profession and the society.

In July 2010, Dr. Gray was awarded the Academy of General Dentistrys prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition, an honor bestowed upon only 115 dentists since its inception. He is also a valued consultant, the longest-tenured faculty member, and the number-one certification speaker for Align Technologies, the manufacturer of Invisalign clear aligners.

Prior to joining the practice of Giannini Gray Dental Partners, Dr. Schwartz served as a dentist in the practice of University Dental Associates, where he performed complex dental procedures in multiple specialty fields, such as fixed and removable prosthodontics, periodontal surgery, pediatric dentistry, root canal therapy, and oral surgery with surgical extractions.

Dr. Eugene Giannini received his undergraduate degree from New York University. While at Georgetown Universitys School of Dentistry, he served as a summer intern in the American Dental Associations Washington Legislative Office and went on to lobby student issues on behalf of the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Giannini was elected as national vice president of the ASDA for two terms.

While attendingdental school, he participated in a dental student exchange program with the University of Bern, Switzerland. Upon graduation from Georgetown in 1988, Dr. Giannini returned to his native state of New York and completed a postgraduate residency at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

Currently, Dr. Giannini serves as a member of the DCDS public policy committee, the DCDS constitution and bylaws committee, and the DCDental Political Action Committee. He was awarded the DCDSs highest honor, the Sterling V. Mead Award, in June 2018 for his service to the profession and the society. He currently serves as Treasurer of the District of Columbia Dental Society.

Dr. Giannini started his professional careeras an associate with Dr. Bernard McDermott, which quickly evolved into a partnership. With the addition of Dr. Brian Gray in 1999, the practice became McDermott Giannini & Gray Dental Associates.

Dr. Giannini served as chairman of the Georgetown University Dental Alumni Board from 2001 to 2005 and has advocated the interests of dental alumni to Georgetown Universitys board of governors from 2001 to 2006. He was awarded the Apollonian Award for service to the Georgetown University Alumni Association in 2002 and its Distinguished Service Award in 2006.

In recognition of his career accomplishments and dedication to the profession, Dr. Giannini was inducted into both the prestigious American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists in October 2006. Both are honorary organizations that recognize outstanding and meritorious service to the profession of dentistry and to the community.

Dr. Giannini was appointed to the American Dental Association Council on Communication in 2006 for a four-year term and served as the councils consultant to the ADAs Council on Governmental Affairs. He was appointed to the District of Columbia board of dentistrys anesthesia task force in 2009 and has served in an advisory position to the board.

Beyond dentistry-related advocacy, Dr. Giannini served on the board of directors of Iona Senior Services of Northwest DC from 2005 to 2009. Currently, he and his wife Blair are actively involved in fundraising programs for Childrens National Medical Center.

Dr. Giannini married Blair Wittmer in 1994, and together they have pursued their passion for travel and foreign cultures. They are parishioners at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington, DC, and resides in the Kalorama neighborhood of DC with their son, Witt, a first-year student atColumbia University, and pugs, Picasso and Napoleon.

Dr. Brian Grays forte is aesthetic reconstruction with an emphasis on cosmetic ceramic restorations. He graduated from Georgetown Universitys School of Dentistry in 1986, where he participated in the first international dental student exchange program and completedan externship at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Dr. Gray received his undergraduate degree in 1982 from Loyola University of Chicago.

In private practice since 1986, Dr. Gray is an active member of the American Dental Associationas well as a member of the District of Columbia Dental Society, where he received the 2000 Mast Award for Continuing Education Teaching Excellence.

He is a master in the Academy of General Dentistry and a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of Dentistry International, and the International College of Dentists. He is also an accreditation candidate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a past president of the Patuxent Dental Society and Southern Maryland Dental Study Club, as well as a founder/member of several study clubs.

Dr. Gray is a graduate of the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum (PAC live), regarded as the pinnacle of postdoctoral cosmetic training in a live patient environment. Additionally, Dr. Gray served a four-year term on the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs. In July 2010, Dr. Gray was awarded the Academy of General Dentistrys prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition, an honor bestowed upon only 115 dentists since its inception.

Dr. Gray is an international lecturer at dental conferences on current technologies in dentistry. He has spoken in more than 200 US cities and eight countries. In addition, he is a continuum member, mentor, advisor, and instructor at the L.D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, the Dawson Institute in St. Petersburg, and a board member of the Texas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He is also a board member of the Arlington Free Clinic. Dr. Grays distinguished affiliation with these leading dental organizations enables him to bring the most advanced techniques to our practice.

A number of leading manufacturers and nonprofit research facilities rely on Dr. Grays input for product evaluation, research, and development. Dr. Luke Schwartz grew up in Fredericksburg, VA,asthe middle of five children in a primarily health care family. After graduating from Woodberry Forest School, a boarding school in Central Virginia, Dr. Schwartz set his sights on pursuing the field of dentistry.

Dr. Schwartz graduated with a B.S.in Biophysics from Wake Forest University, where he served as vice president of the Pre-Dental Student Association. Immediately following his undergraduate education, Dr. Schwartz attended Temple University-Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphiawhere he graduated witha Doctorate in Dental Medicine.

Dr. Schwartz completed a hospital residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he served as the chief resident of the Department of Dentistry. During his residency, Dr. Schwartz served as the primary dental care provider for a diverse set of patient groups, including: the medically complex, patientsundergoing head and neck cancer treatment, special-needs patients, cleft lip &palate patients, as well as dental emergency &trauma patients.

Dr. Schwartz is trained and certified in Invisalign orthodontic treatment.
