
Shawna L. Hawk, DDS operates a family-oriented dental practice in Washington D.C., proudly providing Spring Valley, Cleveland Park, and surrounding areas with quality, friendly service. Since taking over the practice in 1999, Dr. Hawk has continued to serve the community and has worked to educate her patients on oral health care. Many of our patients have been coming to our office for over 27 years, and were always happy to welcome more into our family.

Prior to your first visit to our office, well ask that you fill out paperwork online. This allows us to cut down on wait times and provide you with less hassle during your visit. If youre new to our office, well take X-rays, perform a cleaning, and create a long-term treatment plan or discuss any treatment youre considering. We play soothing music throughout the office to help patients feel at-ease.

Dr. Hawk is a member of the American Dental Society and D.C. Dental Society and takes an active role in understanding the latest research, changes, and recommendations for our profession.

Dr. Shawna Hawk has been a practicing dentist for 27 years in the D.C. metropolitan area. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Hygiene, and then began her dental career as a Registered Dental Hygienist. After deciding that she wanted to further her career as a dentist, she obtained her doctorate from Georgetown's School of Dentistry in 1990.
Dr. Hawk is a current member of the American Dental Association and D.C. Dental Society. She previously attended the Dawson Academy and is a current member of Spear Study Club, where she invests time in keeping abreast of continuing education topics.
In her spare time Dr. Hawk enjoys reading, antiquing, and finding hidden treasures in consignment shops. She also enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband, Mark. Dr. Hawk is an avid dog lover, and is the proud mom of a yellow Labrador named Gus.
